Savior of the World

Sometimes a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, at the moment that includes talking about religion. I honestly, at the moment, don't care what religion you are. No matter what religion you are, or are not, you should read this anyway.

My stake is doing the musical SAVIOR OF THE WORLD. My dad and I tried out in September and we made it, as did everyone else who tried out. My Trek sister Camille got the part of Mary the mother of Jesus, which is sooo exciting. My other trek sister, Laura and my Trek brother, Mike are both doing it as well. My dad got the part of John the disciple. I've been running lines with him a lot. At the end of UEA break we had a rehearsal of a scene where people are resurrected. Would you like to know who the majority of the people who showed up were? Teenage girls.

In my "family" it's a group of four girls from my ward, Emilee-15, Mary Ann-13, and Cindy-9. We had to come up with some plausible, or not so plausible reason for us all dying and then being resurrected together. this is our story, We lived in Jerusalem back in the time of Christ. We were driving the chariot home from YW's to which I had, for no apparent reason, brought my little sister Cindy. (warning the next part was all made up by Emilee I did not make up any of this.) Emilee saw a buff shepherd wrestling a lion, She wanted to watch this shepherd so she handed the reigns to Cindy, Apparently I was also transfixed by the shepherd. Cindy had know idea what to do with the reigns and Mary Ann tried to get Emilee's attention. We were about to go off a cliff you see. Right as Cindy was handing the reigns off to Mary Ann, it was to late and we sailed off the cliff.
As you can see I took some part in this but I do not in any way take credit for the buff shepherd wrestling a lion.

The resurrection scene is so sweet. We have a mother and her child being reunited by a friend. we have a mother and her 4 teenage-or almost teenage children being reunited. We have a family that comes in together. we have my group of teenage girls. we have an older couple. And Last but certainly not least, we have a young mother whose husband brings her their baby. It is soooo touching I almost always have tears in my eyes. Today we did a full run through of Act 2. In the finale tears ran down my face and even as I write this I have tears in my eyes.

The gospel is so dear to my heart, I love it and everything about it. I am a daughter of God and I know all of you reading this are a son or daughter of God as well. As I said before I don't care what religion you are I just care that you know who you are and that you are loved.

  1. This is the second time you've had me here for at least 20-30 minutes. That's why your posts are so good, because they make people think.
