Rah-Rah Recruit

Mr. T said today that we have to write anything but he doesn't want a bunch of "This weekend I . . ."'s. "have a point" he said. my point today, Rah- Rah Recruit.

Today was the annual Rah-Rah Recruit. Every time I said Rah- Rah Recruit to one of my teachers though I got the confused look. Mrs. T (not Mr. T's wife a different Mrs. T, I'm just being cautious of people finding and blackmailing people if I post their last names.) anyway, Mrs. T teaches orchestra at several elementary schools, every September she takes her concert orchestra and they play songs for the little 6th graders (and yes I said little, because they are) she explains how she teaches each of the four instruments and so on.

Today we did that. I missed 3 classes and homeroom. as is my luck we got back right after 8th period started, and being the lucky person I am, we were still jogging in P.E.
Karlyn and I just kind of waited but we still had to do the Pacer test.
Anyway. We play some really fun songs, Pink Panther, Rosin Eating Zombies From Outer Space and Fiddler's Stew.
In Rosin Eating Zombies my good friend Tiffani screamed and James (a little 3th grader) screamed also, when we were having scream auditions James stood up and when he screamed, well let me just say, it was the HIGHEST pitched scream I have ever heard from a guy.
I sit right on the very edge of the orchestra, right next to the audience, so when they screamed i could see in my peripheral the expressions on the 6th graders faces.
In Fiddler's stew got to hit the Anvil. I had some serious problems however. When Mrs. T was handing out the instruments my friend got the duck whistle, later I informed her who had used the whistle before her, the standard "Ew!" was issued forth and then the "oh well it's been sanitized."
When we were at Whitesides Mrs. T asked the orchestra "Who went to Whitesides?" my poor friend Kaitie yelled "Yeah Whitesides!" but she was the only one, it was hilarious.
Right after Whitesides we had lunch. on the way to lunch Robby was jamming out to music on his ipod that we couldn't hear. S0 those of us close enough to him were in danger of loosing an eye. he would randomly clap, or start singing or "playing" the drums or piano. Tiffani, Annie, Micki and I found that very amusing. then at lunch we were all sitting next to each other and we noticed Robby was sitting all alone, we all decided to go keep him company, but what was the point when he was still jamming out to his music. I don't know about the others but I was pretty darn uncomfortable.

Then I scared Kaitie, I was coming out of the bathroom and she was flipping her hair, I burst out laughing and she screamed and literally jumped!

The point : Everybody should take orchestra just for the fun we "dork"estra people have
