I did it!!!

Today my mom came in with the mail and she said "I'll just rip into this, why don't I?" and I was curious even from that far away (like, 5 steps) I could see the Davis Youth Symphony emblem. I grabbed it from her and read it. The first word CONGRATULATIONS! and I knew I made it!!!!
I'm so excited I made it! I made it!I made it! have I said it enough? NO!!! I made it! I made it! I made it! first practice is on the 11th. The only downfall to this wonderful news is that they spelled my name wrong on the envelope. Brigette is how they spelled it. And I have no doubt whatsoever in my mind that on the first day of practice they will say it wrong, too. I'm so excited!! it will be a huge commitment for Monday's but if I get all my homework done over the weekend I shouldn't have too much of a problem. It's from 4:00 to 6:00 every Monday and they want us to be there at 3:45. as of now we'll have a concert in February and again in April and then we'll be participating in the Youth Symphony Festival of Utah in February. Can you tell I'm excited? But the biggest relief of all is that I made it and I was good enough! End of celebrating.

Pretty soon I'm going to have more posts than Annie who's been doing this for a year.

this Quote of the day totally sums up the way I felt trying out for Davis Youth. I was so nervous and I did it. Look where it got me . . . as of the moment I got that letter I was an official member of The Davis Youth Symphony! Quite the accomplishment. For those of you who know Katie Delamare You know she is a really good cellist. she also tried out for Davis Youth(and I have no doubt that she made it) but that's the competition I was up against! I made it!
